We are a legacy of multiple possibilities and global connections!

With over 160 years of tradition, we are the oldest German school (Deutsche Schule) in Rio de Janeiro, offering a unique differential: fluency in the German language. From Kindergarten onwards, we provide an environment in which German is spoken daily. In Primary School, we promote language immersions and certifications and, in High School, our 2nd grade class embarks on an exciting Study Trip to Germany. In this way, we guarantee fluency in the language, which is internationally certified, opening doors to German universities. Fluency in German can make all the difference to your child’s life.

Our commitment goes beyond academic teaching. We provide an integral and humanistic education, with the possibility of full-time activities, stimulating critical thinking, creativity and curiosity. We promote social actions and artistic events, sharing knowledge and involving our students with the local community. We are a Citizen School, engaged in activities with the neighborhood in our two units, located in Downtown and Jacarepaguá, as well as being committed to society.

Our students obtain the prestigious Cambridge University Language Assessment Certificate before they even finish high school.
